This game features a marquee matchup between two all-time-great quarterbacks and two NFC title contenders in the afternoon window. The Saints have been a model of consistency over the past few seasons but the clock is ticking on Drew Brees to capture a second Super Bowl title. Every year we seem to say this is his best roster yet, but this actually might be the best team he’s been on since the 2009 Saints. The only weakness heading into the 2020 offseason was the number two receiving option behind Michael Thomas. General manager Mickey Loomis made a savvy signing as he swooped in to sign Emmanuel Sanders at the start of free agency. Teams have exploited the Saints lack of a deep passing attack in recent postseasons, can this be the season they put it all together? It will need to start off on a high note against an explosive Bucs team.

The Bucs are the biggest wildcard heading into the 2020 season. Longtime Patriot Tom Brady replaces the rollercoaster that was Jameis Winston and should provide much needed stability and leadership to this team. The 43-year-old Brady now has the best cast of receiving weapons since he had Randy Moss and Wes Welker back in 2007. The additions of Leonard Fournette and the un-retired Rob Gronkowski should improve a Tampa Bay ground attack that has ranked near the bottom of the league in recent years. The defense led by coordinator Todd Bowles was tops in the league against the run in 2019 and has the ability to be a dominant defense as they will likely be in more positive game scripts with Brady at the helm. This game will likely come down to who can avoid turnovers and come up with crucial stops down the stretch.
