NOTES: Will Drew Brees finally return under center? With him not returning to practice Wednesday, it seems unlikely. Therefore, we might see the Taysom Hill show roll into Philadelphia. Hill passed for 232 yards and two touchdowns for a 107 rating and rushed for 83 yards last week en route to a 21-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The Saints offense is fifth in scoring in the NFL with 347 points scored thus far. Running back Alvin Kamara is third in yards from scrimmage with 1,328. Defensive end Trey Hendrickson is tied for third in sacks in the NFL with 10.5. New Orleans has already clinched a playoff berth, but they can claim the NFC South division title with a win against the Philadelphia Eagles.
This season hasn’t been kind to Eagles fans, especially to those that saw Carson Wentz as their franchise quarterback. Last week, Wentz was benched for rookie Jalen Hurts in a blowout against the Green Bay Packers. Head Coach Doug Pederson followed that by naming Hurts the starter over Wentz. For Wentz, that hurts. Okay, sorry. The Eagles have been decimated by injuries and players have underperformed disgustingly, but the brightest spot fantasy-wise has been running back Miles Sanders who averages 12.5 points per game (per ESPN). Just don’t look at his recent games.
