NOTES: The defending NFC champs have one last shot in the dark at keeping their playoff hopes alive, and a match-up against the Dallas Cowboys gives them a great chance to do so. The running theme this year for the Niners has been struggles with injuries, and that continues as WR Deebo Samuel has been lost for the season due to a hamstring injury. Head Coach Kyle Shanahan will create a game plan predicated on short passes to WR Brandon Aiyuk to keep QB Nick Mullens safe and the offense mistake-free. While their defense will try its best to limit QB Andy Dalton and the Cowboys offense. If the 49ers can control the tempo of this game they will have a great chance to move to 6-8 and keep their playoff hopes slightly alive.

The Cowboys somehow still have a chance to win their division, but they need to win out and hope for Washington to lose out. This will be a battle of two backup QBs, but Andy Dalton has been looking better for the Cowboys recently as he has been finding his weapons all over the field. The Cowboys defense finally stepped up against the Bengals last week, and will have an opportunity to show their improvement once again against a struggling 49ers offense. If the Cowboys lock in, then they will find a way to end the defending NFC Champs’ season.
