NOTES: This is a potential first-round AFC matchup preview, and the Colts are favored on the road against a struggling Steelers team. The Colts running game has been elite over the past few weeks, front-lined by rookie RB Johnathon Taylor and RB Nyheim Hines. After the Bengals’ run game tore apart the Steelers, I expect the Colts to do the same in week 16. Therefore, if they establish the run early, I think they have a great chance to pull out a win.
The Steelers have been slip-sliding down a slope these last few weeks, they can’t run the ball at all or throw it more than seven yards. Therefore I expect them to struggle against this formidable Colts front seven, and put a small amount of points on the board. Their defense has been a shadow of itself these last few weeks because they have been suffering injuries, and it showed when they were gashed by the Cincinnati Bengals last week for a huge game. I think the Colts will control the tempo of this game and the Steelers will drop a fourth game in a row.
